Done the last lot of figures fromOathsworns last Kick starter ,just iin time for the next lot which i think are due about August. This lot are the Dark a evil faction led ny Necromancers who control Ghasts ,undead creatures of varying size ,the Necromancers can also control living beasts who mainly serve as cannon fodder or as a source of extra power for the Necromancers who drain their life force to enhance their spells . The rules for these are still in the play test stage but regular free updates and ideas are given in the free Oathsworn Journals

Battles of Medieval Britain by Mike Lambo

One of my Fathers day gifts was a solitaire wargame book by mike Lambo ,I must admit I had not heard of the author or the range of books before but based on this I will be buying more. A glossy cover with 41 pages with colour Artwork ,the first 14 pages cover the rules and examples ,the rest of the book covers 12 British Battles , each battle with a map and army lists and special rules for each battle . The rules are simple and easy to pick up but give a fun tacticle game and with each battle having a replay value due to the random placement of the AI units . I played and lost the first game Brunanburgh in about 30 minutes and only needed to refer back to the rules section twice . Seperate printable maps and tokens are available free to print on boradgame geek and other than that you need 6 D6 A great solo game 10/10

The Mask of Camazotz -another Hellboy solo game

Played another solo game of Hellboy , this time set in the world of Mexican wrestling taking on all amnner of undead opponenets , terrific game but ended up with Hellboy and his wrestling partner getting in to allsorts of trouble before both being knocked out ,a victory for the forces of Darkness.

Combat Patrol ww2 -The Battle of the Bulge

After playing a few game of Combat Patrol using my Falklands stuff with the free Falklands supplemnet , my long time gaming Buddy John and myself finally got our ww2 stuff out and had a battle of the Bulge based game . We added a few rules we had not tried before such as vehicles and also tried adding the Events card and a couple of Blue cards as well , to bring reserves and other things into the game . THe game ran very smoothly with us only stopping to consult the rule book once . The game started well for the Germans inflicting some nasty casualties on the americans but last minute bit of lucky card drawing by the Yanks hit the Germans hard and as the bad weather (and our good ladies calling us in for tea ) brought the game to an end , we agreed that both sides had fought each other to a standstill so a draw was declared . Really impressed with these rules and we are looking forward to playing more ww2 and Falklands games , John has down loaded the wild west and star wars supplements to use with his figure collections and I am looking at using them with my Rhodisian Bush Wars stuff . HellBoy , 3 solo missions

A long weekend at the Caravan allowed me to play the final 3 case files from the starter box Played all 3 solo using Hellboy and Abe saapien , the scenarios and outcomes wwere : Hunting Party a great scenario where new rooms kept appearing each time you caused acertain number of injuries to the Frog maonster and he escaped through to hidden areas A win but aclose game

Downward Spiral Which it was started badley and I got beaten pretty convincingly

And Finally Missing Persons A pretty easy win actually all the cards and Die rollls went in my favour

Really love this game , so much fun the game componants are so well made and each case file can be replayed as the cards will usually be different and the differentb agents have their own skilss to amke the game a joy to play , as I have said before the only down side is set up time .
