ANZACs in NAM

Bought myself some 28mm Vietnam Anzacs and NVA to use for Belloludi Vietnam . The figures are all Empress miniatures and they are great ,full of detail especially the SASR which carry the modified SLRs ,M16s and M60 I have finished the Anzacs now need to crack on with the NVA the Command team and Medic

The first section , 2 NCOs a pair of scouts with owen guns ,a m60 team and a 4 man rifle section

Second Section same as first but the scouts have m16s and the M60 team are prone

and finally 2 sections of SASR , in Vietnam the SAS went from the normal 4 man sections to 5 man ,a mixture of weapons , kit and camo

Doctor Who

Unearthed my Doctor Who collection and thought I would try a game or two ,Actually played three games the first was the 12th Doctor with Madam Vastra ,Jenny Flint and Straxx versus Missy and the Cybermen , the Docotr and his allies proved themselves to be the better opponents with ans outstanding victory . The next game was the Forth Doctors turn assisted by UNIT troopers against Davros and the Daleks , a close run thing with the Daleks just scrapinmg victory . The final game had the War Doctor aided by Cartain Jack , Rose and K9 against aslightly modified Dalek force and theius time it was avery convincing Win for the Daleks with only K9 putting up a decent fight. I used a modified version of ther Warlord exterminate rules ,the figures were a mixed bag from Warlord and crooked dice amongst others I need to get the figues rebased and a few new ones painted up before the next games .

More Carnevale

painted up some more Carnevale miniatures ,4 Pulcinella including 1 on an Ostrich and a rialto assasin for the guild and 3 Agalopes for the Rashaar and then managed to use them in the weekend game . Below are the new miniatures

BELLOLUDI VIETNAM

Recieved the new rule set from Belloludi which covers 1955-1975 ,aimed at Vietnam but usable for any period within the timeframe . The rules are the same layout as their ww1 rule set and plays with the same command dice system ,aimed at new players as are the ww1 set but ive enjoyed playimg those i think these are ideal for quick games on a club night or sunday morning before the dining room table is needed for the Sunday Roast . playable solo, or for 2 or more players a decent game will probably have 20-30 nminiatures for a quick game to learn the rules . The book is 29 pages containing the rules and advanced rules which cover all the usual Nam requirements civilians , booby traps , tanks , boats ,aircraft even fragging your unliked officers . before getting a game in I really like these enough to give them a 9/10

The New Forest

Recently bought some cheap trees on line and was surprised not only how good they looked but the size of them , definately for 28mm and some of the larger ones will certainly depict the talll trees of the american wilderness or deep jungles . 28mm figure to show scale .

Nam -cold war commander style

This weekend we did a replay of last weekends Nam game but this time using cold war commander from Pendraken , Again all Johns Toys but this time I played the good old USA , John sportingly called it a draw I did capture the objcetive but lost almost all of my Infantry and special forces team . A great game again Got into the game so again not many pics 2 showing my some of my forces heading toward the 2 viallages

Nam , force on force style

Played a great game at the weekend US air cav taking ion the NVA and VC we used the Force on Force ambush valley supplement a fantastic set of rules ,got so into the game I only took 1 picture , the Photo shows ther start of the heli landing by the US forces sadly for them it was right in the middle of my ambush area ,the first round of fire took out 2 Hueys then mt NVA went in for some nasty hand to hand which caused horrendous casualties on the Americans . On the other side of the table my small VC force tangled with some special forces and managed to come out on top of that as well , a bad day on the news for the folks back home
