Dr Who

Got in a 3 player Dr Who using the Dr Who Miniature Game rules . The 2nd Dr and Jamie had to try and take down an ancient monolith which could be used as a dangerous power source for any alien race that came across it ,unfortunately for the Doctor The Cyberman had discovered it and unfortunately for them so had the Ice Warriors . Luckily for the Doctor the 2 Alien races took offence with each other and concentrated on destroying each other so the doctor got straight to work on fixing the problem ,on the last turn the Doctor had to deal with a Cyberman and Jamie got to grips with a Ice Warrior . The cybermen were wipded out completely and the Doctor and Jamie managed a escape but only just ....

Drop Zone Commander

Played agame of Johns latest purchase TT combats Drop Zone Commander . Really nice model's and a great rule set easy to pick up and lots of choices of tactics ,weapons etc great fun and we ended up with a draw so both happy

BattleTech alpha Strike

Managed to get all the minitures painted and had aplaytest trying out different rules to make sure I had read them Correctly , then had a

game versus John I had the Highlanders and John had the green Jade ,we played the first scenariuo in the rule book and john stole the day his surviving Mech took down my last 2 . A rally good game easy to pick up and most imprtantly it was fun .

BattleTech Alpha Strike

I played Battletech a few years ago and the paperwork put me off getting into it but came across this quick play version "Alpha Strike " , all the info you need for your Mechs are on pre printed cards and the rules are cut back to a minimum and best of all you vcvan play large numbers of mechs ,not had chance to play yet but it looks like it could be an ideal afternoon or evening game . The box set comes with the 40 page rule book , a 16page Primer covering the different forces and brief background of the universe and a24page Novella . It comes with 13 Mechs ,51 cards a card reference sheet card stock trees and counters plus 15 card buildings , also included are 2 dice which seems abit of acheat has each player needs 2 dice .
