A bit of Bank Holiday Gaming

 What could be better a lovely bank holiday ,taking along weekend from work and owning the caravan next to your wargaming buddy ,manged to get three quick games in ,John brought a new card game ( new to Us)Fortresses and Clans a nice card game based on the siege of afamntasy castle really good fun ,and I took stuff to plat the Pulp Alley scenario DEAD RISE we managed two quick games of this using my Hot Fuzz figures against the zombie hoards ,again great fun nice to get some actual gaming in . Figures bt Hasslefree ,studio and footsore amongst others ,trees from Northstar ,tents etc by Mantic

Last days -Zombie Apocalypse -solo

 Had afew sparehours after slaving away in the garden so got Last Days out and played a solo game . Still not a 100% happy with these but they do play better solo than competative .

Solo Zombie Gaming

I tried out 3 solo zombie rules add ons ,one after the other ,same scenario same scenery just different figures to suit the rules .You do need the main rules to pay all these
7TV Apocalypse survival horror solo rules
Chose these first just because I knew they would take a bit more organising getting the cards out etc , the rules are free from the Crooked Dice web site and are written to be used with their apocoylpse rule set . I used figures from the Crooked Dice apocalypse range ,the secret base and jail are from Crooked as well ,the mission to search the base  .The game played well ,although my survivors didnt survive long as each time they killed a zombie I rolled for respawned in the same place so the poor humans were soon over powered ,a ault in my die rolls not the games .You only use half the usual number of countdown cards as the zombies dont use them but I ran out of guys before I had turned them all over ,great fun .

Last Days on Earth ,Zombie Apocalypse 
This game from Osprey  didnt impress me in normal  play but is alot better in solo mode  just because you get more zombies for your money ,the solo rules are in a supplement called Seasons and are free off the face book page. Again a really good game the humans did a lot better but had to leave the base before anything useful was found .

Spectre Operations -Zombie operations

Another freebie from Spectres webstore , another fun set I personally liked this one the best my SAS team kicked ass as well ,although it was a close run thing .

All 3 played well but in my opinion ,spectre was first ,7TV second and last days  er last but really close and all worth playing

Raffle Update ...first Prizes in and ticket news UPDATED 22nd Oct

This years raffle in aid of the British Legion is well under way ,we have sent requests to almost 100 traders for prize supportand and have had a few pledges and even some prize support arrive! . Tickets will be 50 pence each and available from the Wargames Emporiums Store in Sheffield ,I will also visit local clubs if you wish and again the tickets will be available on line at £5.00 for 11tickets yes you get 1 free go for having to buy in bulk . B.A.O.R ,zombies ,survivors and other things finished in March

PSC Pz1V box set 3 models for £13.99 .

March has been a productive month for me , besides finishing my stags and modern police (see earlier post) for the guild painting competition ,I managed to complete 3 Pz 1V's  .some Zombie's and survivors and some B.A.O.R bits and even started my cold war Russians.

Over all I am chuffed that I have done so much the PSC stuff is really good I am starting on their Late war german infantry now ,the S&S cold war vehicles are great ,I have had these since September and only just realised some of the crews arms and heads were missing so cut bits of other unused figures .The Zombies are Zombicide and Studio Miniatures for 7ombie TV rules and the Girls are the ones from Crooked Dice.The Scimitar is the Airfix one I mentioned earlier .
