HellBoy

Got agame of HellBoy the Board Game in at trhe weekend played the Gathering Forces scenario from the Wild Hunt expansion using agants Enhanced Hellboy and Liz Sherman with Alice Monaghan as aback up Agent . It is quite a short scenario using new rules covering the sceanrio taking place outside rather than in the usual rooms or tunnels , poor Liz got taken out pretty quickly but Hellboy managed to pluck a narrow victory Really enjoyed it and had alook at how many figures I have left to paint only 42 to go but at least one is a big model

Hellboy

I didnt get any games in over the past 2 weeks but got loads of Painting done including some from the HellBoy Board game Expansion Big Box of Doom which were the Nimue and the Nimue in Dragon form and I also did the original Nimue the Blood Queen figure as well .

Staying with the hellboy Theme my mate John bought me a 75mm Kroenen figure from the first Ron Pearlman Film , a lovely figure so I bought a 75mm Hellboy to keep him company .

Not played Hellboy for a while so got the Hellboy mountain out and played the introduction game to get back into the rules ,loads of fun and will start playing on a more regular basis . a picture of my collection and a few from the game

Hellboy -The Dice Game

I got the Hellboy Dice Game as afreebie with the last Hellboy Kickstarter and never tried it until tonight . Its a simple little game but a lot of fun we managed 3 games in less than an hour ,it uses the same dice as the board game and comes with anumber of cards specifically made for the dice game . Players take it in turns to turn over a card ,most of which involve rolling dice to fight the monsters , once you ahve used all your dice pool or have taken 3 wounds then your turn is over first player to get 15 clues wins .The rules are one page and easily learnt Simple but fun

Hellboy

I ordered a Hellboy resin figure from Solarmodelsnprops on Etsy and there was a mix up with my delivery which was quickly sorted out and the owner put in a free Hellboy Bust as a thank you for waiting . I have not done the item I ordered as yet but I have done the free Bust ,I can only compliment the quality of the products and the customer service from Solarmodelsnprops .

Hellboy =The Lobster & Professor Bruttonholm and Young Hellboy

Dug out a couple of my Limited Edition figures for the Hellboy Board Game by Mantic The comic version of The Lobster and Professor Broom with a young Hellboy carried in his arms . Both boxed figures come with cards for the game .

More painting ,Hellboy and Burrows and Badgers

Got another couple of the Hellboy Kickstarter figures done with Speedpaints ,really getting to grips with these army painter paints now , the figures are Hammerhead and the wendigo ,still lots of figures to doi from the last Kickstarter

Finished off the last figures from the Oathsworn kick starter "the streets of New Castle" with the towns folk being a lovely varied bunch including a Marmot Butcher , a mouse rushing her child to school , A rat plague Docter and a Pigeom Union Boss to name but a few ,as always fantastic figures and now Oathsworn have added some rules for townsfolk to mess with your battle plans I am looking forward to using them in our games . The last set are the City watch again amazing figures such a joy to paint ,I tried to make them appear to be part of a well organised group by using red and green on them somewhere in the clothing or armour as usual a varied mix of animals , hedgehog , mole ,otter shrews etc all with vafriuos armour and weapons and Oathsworn have provded specific rules for the City watch rather than just using the Roalist Faction rules from the main rule book .

hellboy Crickets with Army Painter Speedpaints

I picked the crickets from the last hellboy kickstarter as my next batch to paint , and thought I would try out the Army Painter Speed paints my kids bought me for christmas. All I can say is that they are superb paints ,after putting white undercoat on the figures I used 5 different speedpaints to paint the figures and within an hour I had finished them all to a nice wargaming finish. I had heared that you had issues with them bleeding into each other and normal paints causing the speed paints to react in different nasty ways ,but I did not have any issues . 10/10

The Crooked Man & Gruagach

Two characters from the last Hellboy Kickstarter from mantic games ,only another 70 odd to do . Looking at Gruagach's picture it looks like he only has one arm but the other is behind him 2 really nice figures and a pleasure to paint now just got to get time to use them in a game

A Christmas Hellboy

Under pressure from my grand Daughter I have painted my Holiday Hellboy ,A nice mini diorama from Mantic Games which can be used in their Hellboy game ,`i purchased it as one of the add ons in the last Kickstarter its a nice seasonal companion for the Krampus figure I purchased last year .

The Big Box of Doom

As you will know I love the Hellboy board game and eagerly took part in Mantic's last Kickstarter ,which not only gave me tha massive big box of doom containing loads of figures and new missions and new or upgraded agents but also the free Hellboy Dice game ,it also gave me change to pick up some of the earlier releases I missed so grabbed the Conquerer worm expansion , Christmas Hellboy diorama and a resin Johann Krauss and a resin Nimue plus of course some add ons which consisted of the limited edition Hellboy drinking with Skeletons diorama ( 2 actually one is a present for my Pal ),a folding dice tray and probably more as I ahve not had time to look at the stuff yet . Lots of new scenarios and charecters to play and dozens of figures to paint .
