Mussolini's Pride the Regia Marina and a merchant ship for cruel seas

Finished my Italian Navy fleet box and also a merchant ship which I have left with no mrkings so it can fit into a convoy for any nation .The Italians consist of a Gabbiano class corvette which I showed off in an earlier post , MZMotozattera a well armed conversion of a german f lighter , another  f lighter with italian weapons but still able to carry a 100 men or 3 light tanks and 4 MAS boats really fast but lightly armed and armoured MTBs .
A battered merchant ship

these are quite large even in 1/300 scale

Mussolinis Navy

again with ruler to give an idea of size

The MZ a well armed conversion of the german F Lighter

every thing in its transport box tin foil and magnetic sheet to prevent heavy seas causing damage .

D-Day game

Last night at sheffield wargames society we played Johns game based around the British airbourne landings on D-Day , we had to plan our operation based on the original objectives ,then fly in in our paper planes ,I mean gliders then perform our set tasks. Glad to say all went very well and the Landings were successful and we held until relieved .Great fun .
some serious planning

Historigue wargame markers for cruel seas

Having purchased the cruel seas starter set which includes Royal Navy and Kriegsmarine boats ,I was stunned to find that the game came with US navy and Italian order dice .I contacted warlords customer service who told me the dice were put in at random so technically I had the correct dice ? and also they dont actually make dice for the Royal Navy but would supply Commando dice ? I looked on the warlord shop and saw the dice were £18 a set so I would have to pay out another £36 to get what I considered the correct dice ,looking elsewhere I came across Historique wargames markers and I purchased a set of 10  counters to replace the dice for each of my proposed fleets German ,Italian and British plus a set of critical hit markers for not much more than one set of warlords dice ,and the service was superb and fast .Highly reccomended
The counters are metal ,laminated with a protective covering , they fit into the order bag a lot easier than dice

The critical hit counters bigger than warlords but alot easier to see
