2 weeks Gaming

I have been ill again so went to stay in out caravan for a rest and managed ot get some quality gaming in . I gamed a solo game by Mike Lambo ,Battles in Medieval Britain I gamed the Hastings scenario and got soundly beaten by the A.I Next John brought round a card Gmae he had bought Inca Treasure , it is a simple game but loads of fun even though john beat me 3-1 Next we amnaged afew games of Rogue Warrior first game was a solo warrior with 3 tactical assualt dogs ,in this ganme the dogs were lethal taking out 3 of the 4 enemy warriors next we did a SAS V Delta force game which ended up a draw simply as no one was in awinning position . Next we played 2 games from the original rule book the first JULY 2012 I won with my SAS managing to capture the vehicle and VIP on the last turn Finally we tried the swarm game I played the warriors and John ran the swarm of recruits I survived 24 turns and killed 17 of Johns forces . A great couple of weeks and sone fun games below are a selection of pictures from the variuos games .

Some solo Gaming

Just spent a couple of weeks at our place on the coast and took some solo games with me from Mike Lambo and Minden Games , managed to get 3 games of Battles of Medieval britain ,realy love this game , 2 games of Torpedoe raiders ,1 game of Sniper Attack and tried a play through of Vimy Ridge but didnt get finishes as a friend turned up with a board Game he had bought cheap which turned out to be great fun , it was Top Gun which started with a game of beach volley ball to decide how the air combat part of the game commenced .

Assault on Vimy Ridge

Jusr recieved a belated birthday gift of Assault on Vimy Ridge by Mike Lambo . A solitaire wargame book ,this is the second of his games i have and as with the Battles of Medieval Britain ,this is a simple well produced book containing all the maps and tokens within its 45 pages but again the maps etc are available to download for free on boardgame geek . In this game you are a Canadian Sergeant in the assault on vimy ridge in April 1917 ,the game consists of 12 mission maps that link into a campaign and seem to have a lot of repalyability with the random set up system . Looking forward to playing this soon

Battles of Medieval Britain by Mike Lambo

One of my Fathers day gifts was a solitaire wargame book by mike Lambo ,I must admit I had not heard of the author or the range of books before but based on this I will be buying more. A glossy cover with 41 pages with colour Artwork ,the first 14 pages cover the rules and examples ,the rest of the book covers 12 British Battles , each battle with a map and army lists and special rules for each battle . The rules are simple and easy to pick up but give a fun tacticle game and with each battle having a replay value due to the random placement of the AI units . I played and lost the first game Brunanburgh in about 30 minutes and only needed to refer back to the rules section twice . Seperate printable maps and tokens are available free to print on boradgame geek and other than that you need 6 D6 A great solo game 10/10
