Israeli Aircraft for Check your 6 Jet Age

Finally finished my Israeli AirForce models ,all 1/600 from tumbling dice with Flight Deck decals . I based my purchses on the available scenarios in the main rule book ,the Star and Pyramid campaign book and the scenarios availble on the face book group plus afew extras due to numbers in the packs I purchased how ever after reading the rules I will probably only flying afew models at atime some of the scenarios would take a long time to play due to the large number of air craft . These cover the mid sixties to the mid Eighties ,I will probably eventually cover the earlier war of independence at some point as well . I haev almost completed the Egyption stuff and then will get some Iraqi , Iranian ,Jordanian and Syrian ones as well . Pictures of the Israeli Air Craft sat in the magnatised box hopefully get some of them in action soon .Some of the Egytion stuff sneaked in there as well

Another batch of aircraft finished all israeli this time 4 x Super Mystere known as Sa'ar (storm) to the IDF also I needed a piper Cub for one of the scenarios but I coudnt find one in 1/600 scale so used a Cessna as a stand in .All Tumbling Dice miniatures with Flight Deck Decals .

Arab -Israeli Air Wars update

Got a few more Aircraft done for my Project ,still lots more to do but enough to get a couple of games in . The latest offerings are Egyptian Mig 17's and some more 21's need another 2 17's and 12 Mig21's to be able to do all the Scenarios I have ,for the Israelis some A4 Skyhawks know as Ahit (Eagle) by the Israeli's. There is one pic showing all the planes in their little magnetic carry box .

Is that a Mirage

For my last post of 2024 I thought I would show my progress on the Arab Israeli air wars project ,I ahvent toughed it for a while and other that the Egyptian Mig 21's and the IL28's I did ages ago I havent opened the box so I thought I had better crack on so just finished some Shahaks ( Mirage 111) and some Nesher ( a much modified and israeli Built Mirage 5 ) . The h=uge Orangew flashes on the wings and tail planes on the Neshers was to prevent friendly fire when the Egyptians began using Mirage 5s On my work bench and probably my first post of 2025 are some more Eyptian Migs 17's and 21's and some Israeli Ahits (A4 Skyhawks ) all toys are tumbling dice and decals are from flight deck

Christmas goodies

As usual I have been spoilt with lots if great presents and a lot of them are scenery and paints etc but as usual Elaine has managed ti get me loads of bookd for my latest projects mainly covering the Arab -Israeli conflicts but also one adding to my gothic horror ,victorin crime library ,hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wishing you all agreat new year .

Arab-Israeli air wars -progress so far

I had every thing I need to start my project except bases so looking at various types and unable to find what i wanted,I decided to have a go my self so a few hex bases and dice frames from Pendraken and some nails from the local DIY store plus some rare earth magnets from my bits box and Im happy . The pics show the under coated bases and some under coated Egyption Mig 21 and IL 28 from tumbling dice

Arab -Israeli Air Wars

Getting things together for my next project the Arab Israeli air wars covering the six day war up to the Yom Kippur war . I have my aircraft amazing service from Tumbling Dice ,I placed the order on Monday Morning and the stuff arrived Tuesday the 1/600th kit is really nice Now to choose the rules ,I have 3 sets to choose from Airwar C21 ,I have played these using them for a Uk V Soviet what if campaign .They are quick play ,do not use a hex mat and list all the aircraft stats I will need ,on the down size they are only suitable for a few aircraft per side and everything is assumed to be flying at the same level but they are good fun . Bag the Hun ,there a few free down loads to bring the rules up to the jet age and a dedicated Arab/Israeli supplement . I have played these for the normal ww2 period and enjoyed them but haing the rules spread over a few suplements might cause issues and these need a hex mat. Check you6 Jet Age , not played these yet but they seem ok , they need hexmat and some way of showing speed and altitude but they do a campaaign book covering the years I am covering . Will prbably have ago with eaach and then make my mind up before we start the campaign .
