Innsmouth Gold

Played the Innsmouth Gold Pulp Alley scenario today ,really unlucky dice rolls saw all but one of my league being over come by the ever growing number of Deep Ones and the cards for challenges and perils were very unkind as well ,plus once my league started drawing horror cards I was struggling ,some how Proffessor Quatermass managed to get to the boat with the artifact and escape so technically a win .Great fun' Buildings by TT combat , boats are any scale , jettys by Ainsty , the deep ones mainly Northstar and the good guys by Artizan ,the mats are urban matz and the sea a cheap tablecloth .

A Little `bit of Love....craft

I have always been a massive fan OF H.P.Lovecraft and some of my best gaming memories are running the RPG call of Cthulu games at Sheffield Wargames Society and the Wargames Emporium with my brother John ,best mate John ,little john ,Ian Goadsby and the sadly missed Tony Cheetham and Tony Cousins ,some great nights and loads of fun as Little John always did the one thing you should never do ,lots of long lived charecters died due to him opening the wrong door or speaking the wrong chant. Anyway with a couple of Lovecraft based scenarios coming out for Pulp Alley and a new rule set based on Lovecrafts works called fear of the dark I have started painting up some bits ,here are my Deep ones and some hybrids to stalk the streets of Innsmouth . All but one of them are Nortstar figures

A bit of Bank Holiday Gaming

 What could be better a lovely bank holiday ,taking along weekend from work and owning the caravan next to your wargaming buddy ,manged to get three quick games in ,John brought a new card game ( new to Us)Fortresses and Clans a nice card game based on the siege of afamntasy castle really good fun ,and I took stuff to plat the Pulp Alley scenario DEAD RISE we managed two quick games of this using my Hot Fuzz figures against the zombie hoards ,again great fun nice to get some actual gaming in . Figures bt Hasslefree ,studio and footsore amongst others ,trees from Northstar ,tents etc by Mantic

Last days -Zombie Apocalypse -solo

 Had afew sparehours after slaving away in the garden so got Last Days out and played a solo game . Still not a 100% happy with these but they do play better solo than competative .

Greystoke the Legend of Tarzan lord of the Apes

Another lot of figures for Pulp alley ,really loving these rules they work so well in solo games. Always a fan of the Tarzan books and grew up with the weekly tv show with Ron Ely and of course the regular Wiessmuller screenings although the Gordon Scott movies are my favourite Tarzan movies and of course the Christopher Lambert film whose title I pinched for this post  is always worth a watch ,so below my first batch of figures for Lord of the Jungle .Figures a mix of Northstar and Copplestone

Haunted Forest

had these a while now but finally got round to doing them ,the plastic haunted forest set from Northstar ,I bought the special offer set which includes 12 trees ,6 stumps and  6 sets of mushrooms plus a few fantasy faces , They come as one piece mouldings with no flash ,the tree faces are seperate and I have used a couple of these but without them the treees could easily be used an awestern front batttlefield for WW1. A great set of scenary I have shown the 28mm shaggy and scooby as aguide to the scale of the pieces

Finished my Ranger and companions for shadow deep ,actually got into naming them and some background for each of them ,part of the fun of the rule set .all are the official northstar range except Tor&Raven both Footsore and Akmed a Gripping beast plastic arab
