got a game of Dr Who Miniature Game played this week .The 4th Doctor trying to talk peace while the sea devils and silurians attack UNIT head quarters , although the Dr did manage it a lot of UNIT troopers and a few Sea Devils paid the price.

Rogue warriors Battle of the Bulge

ot 2 game of rogue warrior over te weekend a solo game with Germans v Americans ,scenario was simple the Americans had to search the battle damaged vehicles for survivors ,the Germans just needed toi amke sure the vehicles were beyond repair ,the Germans won a very Impressive victory . The Second game had some Brandenburgers in Yank uniforms tryoing to do some sneaky sabotage and did it quite impressivley as well.

With my interest in Dr Who returning I recently played Warlords Exterminate game which on its own is quite naff but a fan based add on makes it a lot better ,however the free doctor Who Miniatures Game that was originally written by the guys who became 7TV is a much better game in my opinion ,it involves lots of printing off of cards etc from the facebook page but I would imagine that this will be the case with exterminate now warlord have exterminated it them selves . Doctor Who

Unearthed my Doctor Who collection and thought I would try a game or two ,Actually played three games the first was the 12th Doctor with Madam Vastra ,Jenny Flint and Straxx versus Missy and the Cybermen , the Docotr and his allies proved themselves to be the better opponents with ans outstanding victory . The next game was the Forth Doctors turn assisted by UNIT troopers against Davros and the Daleks , a close run thing with the Daleks just scrapinmg victory . The final game had the War Doctor aided by Cartain Jack , Rose and K9 against aslightly modified Dalek force and theius time it was avery convincing Win for the Daleks with only K9 putting up a decent fight. I used a modified version of ther Warlord exterminate rules ,the figures were a mixed bag from Warlord and crooked dice amongst others I need to get the figues rebased and a few new ones painted up before the next games .

Combat Patrol ww2 -The Battle of the Bulge

After playing a few game of Combat Patrol using my Falklands stuff with the free Falklands supplemnet , my long time gaming Buddy John and myself finally got our ww2 stuff out and had a battle of the Bulge based game . We added a few rules we had not tried before such as vehicles and also tried adding the Events card and a couple of Blue cards as well , to bring reserves and other things into the game . THe game ran very smoothly with us only stopping to consult the rule book once . The game started well for the Germans inflicting some nasty casualties on the americans but last minute bit of lucky card drawing by the Yanks hit the Germans hard and as the bad weather (and our good ladies calling us in for tea ) brought the game to an end , we agreed that both sides had fought each other to a standstill so a draw was declared . Really impressed with these rules and we are looking forward to playing more ww2 and Falklands games , John has down loaded the wild west and star wars supplements to use with his figure collections and I am looking at using them with my Rhodisian Bush Wars stuff . The Men Who Would Be Kings

Had a nice game of TMWWBK from osprey ,using the Mr Babbage solo system .A fast bloody fight with Her Majestys forces being wiped out to a man in good Victorian style the Brits had 2 units of Naval brigade Infantry and a unit of NNC ,plus I know the rules do not allow this but I wanted to try out both in a game so used a Machine Gun and a Rocket launcher .so the colonials had 26points v the Zulu 24

Above the first round of fire from the Naval Brigade and the rocket lauancher were effectiive a pin marker from the Launcher and 3 dead from the long range rifle fire ,then it pretty much went down hill from there . table and Mat from Urban ,figures are Empress, Warlord plastics ,Pery Plastics and wargames factory plastics
