Special Air Service remembrance tour day 1

We recently spent a few days around the Midlands and the Cotswolds and decided to visit the graves and memorials to the SAS . Our fist day we visited the SAS cemertery at St Martins in Hereford ,this was the original resting place for the SAS in Hereford ,the first garves are in the normal graveyard placed amongst the normal buriels ,then a small memeorial garden was set aside for the final resting places of the fallen troopers ,killed in Combat ,in accidents or by natural causes . Amongst the graves and markers are some famous names including Talaiasi Labalaba and Tommy Tobin who both were casulaties of the Battle of Mirbat , Bob Consiglio and Vince Phillips of Bravo 2 Zero fame and many other brave souls who are now at Rest . The Memorial Garden is awonderful setting and very emotional .After we visited Hereford Cathedral wher ethere is a monument and Stained Glass Window both Recently installed to celebrate the connection between the SAS and the City .

SASR Australia

I have recently been collecting SAS items usually to help provide funds for Veterans and i came across an organisation called NineSixFour seeling items to provide help to veterans , the Title relates to the year the Australian SAS was formed 1964 . I purchased afew of thier challenge coins the first one is a large coin celebrating the Combat Medics the coinshows aVoodoo Doll with the words Voodoo Medicine -Dominating the Black Arts on the reverse is the SAS winged dagger , the others came as aset and celebrate the 1st , 2nd , 3rd ,6th and 152 Sqaudrons with a 6th Coin depicting the Regimental Crest all six have the winged dagger on the reverse . The quality is excellent and the customer service out standing .

SCI -Fi Vehicles

Picked up 3 resin 28/32mm Scale vehicles off the internet for a tenner ,really nice snap together kits never seen snap together resin kits before they will add to the scenery /cover /whatever in our games of Rogue Warrior especially the Evolution supplement and Dr Who games and probably many others .The decals are from my old decal stock

Burrows and Badgers 2nd edition

I have just recieved my copy of Burrows and Badgers 2nd Edition , I love playing the original although i havent managed agame in a few months due to other games . The Second edition is still written by Michael Lovejoy who has amore than obvious passion for the game and its setting ,this time the art work is by Peter Johnson and it is the Art work that first jumps out at you ,I thought the B & W line drawings in the original gave it a fantastic feeling it remoinded me of a copy of Wind in the Willows I had when much younger but this new art work in full colour just jumps out at you and just screams for you to get playing, plus you get alovely free white mouse figure with it as well . I will be playing my first game with 2nd edition this coming weekend but at first glance whilst building our forces for the game everything whilst keeping the basic ideas it has become more streamlined and a few changes I have spotted so far is the use of Fate points but I will find out what other changes and how it all works this weekend . This edition also has more scenarios and campaign rules I am looking forward to getting these unusual armies back in play . Ice Base Zero Campaign

We played the first Campaign scenario from the Rogue Warrior Ice Base Zero book . Really good fun where the objective was first to get the door to tha hanger open then to be inside when the scenario finished . John had a great plan where we work together to get the door open and then get all our teams inside so we could both build points for the second scenario , a great plan or it would have been if i hadnt took out 2 of his men in a bloody hand to hand frenzy , even so John won the first scenario has he had built more points up during the game . Enjoyed it so much kept vforgetting to take pics so only got 2 poor snaps .
