Vietnam Week

I played a solo game of BelloLudi Vietnam My Australian SAS bumping into a NVA paytol , a nice simple set of rules that keep the period well and I plan to play a game against John as soon as we can . The pictures below are from thge game THE SAS pulled off an easy victory . Figures are all Empress

Next got a couple of fame of Force on Force Ambush Valley ,in the first game I used my Anzacs against Johns VC . John used his tunnels to great effect and caused quite a few casualties but I amnaged to Scrape avictory on points but only just . The second game my NVA attacked Johns Firebase full of US Marines , I did what I thought the most obviuos tactic and just charge with everything I had and it worked almost wiping out the Americans to a man . As LAway the Ambush Alley games are excellent such a shame they disapered . Pictures below from the two games

Hellboy the Board Game

Not played Hellboy for a while so got the Hellboy mountain out and played the introduction game to get back into the rules ,loads of fun and will start playing on a more regular basis . a picture of my collection and a few from the game

Pink Panther

Built the old Tamiya S.A.S Pink Panther , a really nice kit with hardly any clean up neeeded ,I picked up a resin kit which replaced all of the supplies and kit carried and got 2 resin figures which had a look of Sekonaia Takavesi and Austin "Fuzz " Hussey , 2 of the heroes of the Batle of Mirbat .

Games Old and New

Got a few more games in over the last couple of weeks , Firstly we played a game of 02:00 Hours Using the desert raiders supplement and cards , The SAS made a night time raidagainst afew Luftwaffe Planes and ammo dumps and failed quite quickly ,only blowing up one aircraft and losing more tha 50% of the troops Next up we went old school and dug out Ambush Alley ,John fieleded his French and I took the Taliban ,I must admit French Vehicles blow up much more dramatically than British Ones and the troops die alot quicker as well , even though John hjad a awful game losing most of his troops he did actually win by sneaking his person of interest off the table . A fantastic Game we had forgot what asuperb set of rules these were ,we ahve more games planned . Finallt we played Ambush Z and we were not impressed to be honest , we bought these just to complete our Ambush Alley /Force on Force collections and we never played them i dont think we will again below are Pics from all 3 Games First off 02:00 Hours

Pulp Cars

Bought 2 resin 32mm Cars for my pulp Ganes ,rerally fantastic models came ready built no clean up Needed From a trader called Treasure token on Etsy , thye do a very nice range of resin figures and scenic items at decent prices .

The Troubles pt 2

Finished off my 28mm Troubles figures from 1st Corps , a 10 amn Britsh Army patrol and 4 more RUC officers . I ahve ordered acouple of suitable vehicles a humber Pig and a Alvis Saracen .

Another weeks Gaming

Mkaing the most of this sick leave I managed to get some more gaming done . Started off with 2 games of 02.00 hours as wehadnt played ofr quite awhile we started off with the Hunted scenario which just covers the basic rules ,John playing the Germans won this one bt taking out 3 of my SAS , The second game was the Butcher and Bolt Scenario which my SAS stole only because John pulled an event card that changed my objective to a much easier one allin all a great couple of games .

Then we managed to get agame in with aboard game John had picked up ,Arham Horror a really fun game that we both enjoyed perhaps myself more than John as I ended up devouring his character , the only draw pack is the time to set up and organise all the cards and counterts .
