The Borders pt4 -Ford and Etal , Coldstream

Finally we spent some time in aloveley area called Ford and Etal 2 small villages on the Joicy Family estate ,you can ride on the steam train that conects the 2 locations ,vist a shire Horse centre and of course look at the Castle Ruins . Coldstream is the famous home of the regiment and one of the first Border townships ,again lots to see but the ColdStream Guards are a must see.

The Borders pt3 - Holy Island ,Laurieston and Jedburgh

Travelling across the causeway to Holy Island I could only think of the woman in Black but the journey was well worth it loads of Viking era history and lovely scenary , Laurieston was aquick stop to look at the memotrial to John Macaleese and then onto Jedburgh to visit the old Goal but again Jedburgh is steeped in Scottish history well worth a visit

The Borders pt 2-Berwick Upon Tweed

We based ourselves in Berwick Upon Tweed a town right on the borders , once a thriving town controlling the river Tweed it is now a little run down but is full of city wlls , a ruined castle ,museums set in the old Barracks which were in use to the mid nineteen sixties , the gunpoweder store and main gate guard house ,well worth a visit .

The Borders part 1 Alnwick Castle

Jusy spent a week in the Border region between England and Scotland an area steeped in a history of conflict from medievil battles to the Vikings , Border rievers and the Jacobite Rebellions you cant really visit any town or Village without seeing an historic building or museums . Population z

Tried my first solo game of population Z from the rogue warrior people and it is really an ejoyable fun game taht involves a lot of in game planning to gain equipment and food and the campaign system adds even more to the game ,it can be played solo ,cooperative where 2 or more players take on the zombies ,player v player where you not only take on Zombies but other gangs as well . Played my game in a nice english setting with Hot Fuzz Heroes Nicholas Angel and Danny Butterman taking on an ever incresing number of Zombies I plan to do a three colours cornetto gang based on the 3 films I have the 2 Andies from Hot Fuzz to team up with Nicholas and Danny plusShaun and Ed from Shaun of the dead just trying to source a Gary King and Andy Knightly from Worlds End to finish off the group I have also ordered a few figures bssed on the George Romero Zombie franchise Below are some pics of my game plus the group so far figures Survivors are all Hasslefree and the Zombies are a mix of many manufacturers , buildings are TT Combat and cars die cast
