hellboy Crickets with Army Painter Speedpaints
I picked the crickets from the last hellboy kickstarter as my next batch to paint , and thought I would try out the Army Painter Speed paints my kids bought me for christmas.
All I can say is that they are superb paints ,after putting white undercoat on the figures I used 5 different speedpaints to paint the figures and within an hour I had finished them all to a nice wargaming finish.
I had heared that you had issues with them bleeding into each other and normal paints causing the speed paints to react in different nasty ways ,but I did not have any issues .

Assault on Vimy Ridge
Jusr recieved a belated birthday gift of Assault on Vimy Ridge by Mike Lambo .
A solitaire wargame book ,this is the second of his games i have and as with the Battles of Medieval Britain ,this is a simple well produced book containing all the maps and tokens within its 45 pages but again the maps etc are available to download for free on boardgame geek .
In this game you are a Canadian Sergeant in the assault on vimy ridge in April 1917 ,the game consists of 12 mission maps that link into a campaign and seem to have a lot of repalyability with the random set up system .
Looking forward to playing this soon

New Burrows and Badgers supplements
Two new books from Oathsworn for their Burrows and Badgers game.
The first is the Dillendorf Agreement ,a map based campaign system .
A lovely book containing everything to run a campaign in the Kingdom of Northymbra ,2 to 6 players can run warbands to try and control the Kingdom. 50 colour pages in a card backed book comes with a seperate card campaign map.
The second is the besst of gthe Oathsworn Journal which brings together some of the ideas and new rules printed in the free Journal published on an irregular basis.
Why buy what has previuosly free you may ask ,its simple really the scenarios ,rules and new items in this are the final versions where they may have changed over a few issues of the journal so these are easier to find and it is a really nice book for the avid players to drool over and at over 50pages contains lots of great pictures of the B&B figures .
With both books you recieve a code to order a free PDF ,so extra maps ,stats etc can be easily printed off
